Fully Tested !!! Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + vs OnePlus 7 Pro: What's Best?

Both are richer than average with premium features as well. The Note 10 + runs a cool thousand quid and comes with different enhancements compared to the previous model, including a much sleeker design, enhanced S Pen stylus, and a bit more power packed inside.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7 Pro provides the brand with an almost bezelless Quad HD display at a silky, smooth 90Hz refresh rate, as well as a triple-camera setup and a top-end processor in the ultra-premium space.

Do the added advantages of Note 10 + justify the price bump, or is the OnePlus 7 Pro still the most sensitive option? Here's what we think we've been testing Note 10 + now.Design: The elegance of them

Design: The elegance of them

We are taken with the Galaxy Note 10 + model, which sheds most of the alien bezel from Note 9 and is also slimmer and lighter, packing a ton of telephone in a small footprint. The single, center-mounted punch-hole camera overall looks pretty unobtrusive, while the backup has a sleek, Huawei-esque appeal.

Even so, to beat the OnePlus 7 Pro is difficult. It's a bulkier phone, but the lack of an enormous bezel, a screen notch or a punch-hole cutout gives it a beautiful effect, while the color options of Nebula Blue and Almond are both very attractive. This one is really down to taste, because both lookers are certainly.

Screen: Better is the smoother

These are two of today's largest screens on a phone, on the OnePlus 7 Pro at 6.67 in, and on the Galaxy Note 10 + at 6.8 in. They are Quad HD AMOLED panels in both cases–stunners across the board.

But here the OnePlus 7 Pro has a couple of key advantages. Next, a notch or cutout entirely unadorns the screen, while Note 10 + has a tiny punch-hole camera cutout at the top of the screen. That's because the OnePlus 7 Pro hides in a pop-up module its selfie camera, which only rises when you need it. That's useful.

And second, the OnePlus 7 Pro has a refresh rate of 90Hz that delivers significantly smoother performance than the average smartphone screen shows. All told, it's making the best screen we've seen on a smartphone so far, and it's not Note 10+. Built to defeat it. Now, in overall quality, it's very similar, and one of today's next best screens on the market.

OnePlus 7 Pro Winner

Camera: Happy Snap

In this group, however, Samsung has a slight advantage. The OnePlus 7 Pro features a powerful triple camera setup on the rear, featuring a 48-megapixel main camera with an 8MP (3xzoom telephoto lens) and an ultra-wide 16MP sensor. The results are not the most reliable we've seen from a flagship smartphone, but the OnePlus 7 Pro is close to matching the competition at its best.

In the meantime, the Note 10 + primarily bears the Galaxy S10's excellent triple-camera setup with a 12MP main sensor, 12MP telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide 16MP camera. It then attaches a time-of-flight detector to enhance the sensing of distance. In terms of overall capabilities, they are different setups, but in our experience, Note 10 + offers better shots on a more consistent basis.

Performance: Packed with power

Even in terms of processing power, the OnePlus 7 Pro and Galaxy Note 10 + are about. OnePlus used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip on the OnePlus 7 Pro, packing it with up to 12 GB of RAM depending on the configuration, and the result may be the fastest Phone on the market as of now–and it looks even faster thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate on the display.

Elsewhere, the Note 10+ opted for the latest Exynos 9825 chip from Samsung in Europe, allowing minor changes over the previous Exynos 9820... which was just a smidge in benchmark testing behind the Snapdragon 855 itself. Here, too, it has 12 GB of RAM. On both sides, regular output is good, and benchmark results go one way or the other depending on the choice of tests. They're very close, in other words.

Battery and perks: Note plus perks

With 4,000mAh in the OnePlus 7 Pro and 4,300mAh in the Galaxy Note 10+, both phones opt for beefy batteries. To Samsung, that's a mere size advantage, but more importantly, we know that the OnePlus 90Hz display choice appears to deplete the battery a bit faster than usual. Essentially, both of them are made for the use of a good day, but not much more.

The Note 10 + packs in both wireless charging and wireless reverse charging, enabling the latter feature to put another wireless charging system on the back to give it a top-up. However, neither is the OnePlus 7 X, sticking to wired charging instead. That's part of the OnePlus mobile cost savings.

On the Note 10 +, which comes in 256 GB and 512 GB versions, you will also get more starting memory, while the OnePlus sticks to 128 GB and 256 GB. Nevertheless, for significantly increased capacity, both can be extended with microSD cards.

The phones have put in the screens their fingerprint sensors. The sensor of OnePlus 7 Pro is the best we've used to date, but the 10 + Note is a big improvement over the S10 sensor of the Galaxy. Most of the time, it works well.

However, if you overlook price, the Note 10 appears to be the better device all around. The design is more compact and versatile, thanks to the S Pen. The phablet is water resistant, can charge wirelessly and, from what we've observed in the past, should take better photos. The Note 10 will be easier to buy, with wider availability across more carriers. The OnePlus 7 Pro offers advantages of its own, and anyone opting for it over the Note 10 shouldn't regret their decision — it's a wonderful phone. But if you are on the fence, you can check back for our full review on the new Note in the coming weeks.
